clipping masks

type whatever you want ( i chose my name) and choose an image that has texture such as wood or paper etc.

move the image to the back of the text (right click>arrange>send to the back)

select both text and image then press command 7

go to effect>distort&transform>roughen (you can also go to stylize and do whatever you want)
